How many routes are there to choose from?

We have 5 rides available with different difficulty levels. We are also happy to put a bespoke route together, just give us a call.

What’s the min/max people allowed on the tour?

It’s a minimum of two and a maximum of four.

What will I need to bring with me?

Suitable footwear, clothing, and a backpack if you want to carry extra items with you. All safety equipment is provided.

You will also need a smart phone with data for the treasure hunt. It’s worth downloading What3words ahead of time to help with locating the starting point and to help with the treasure hunt.

Do you need to do the treasure hunt or can you just ride?

Yes, it’s fun! Also, the things you will be looking for will be along the route.

What are the prices for the rides?

Prices start from €80 per person.

Is there access to the start/meeting point?

You can get to the starting point by car or there are buses running from Paphos Monday through to Saturday.

We can also organise a pickup and drop-off service. Depending on your location, this will be charged as an extra cost.

What is the age range?

The tours are suitable for people aged 16-70. We do not have small bikes for children and some parts of the ride will be quite challenging for little ones.

Do I need to be super fit?

No, but a moderate level of fitness is required.

Do I need to be a pro-rider to do the rides?

No, but a basic to intermediate level of bike riding is required for this ride.

What time do the rides start?

Generally around 10am or early afternoon, but in the warmer season (June to September) rides will be earlier in the morning and later in the afternoon. We can be flexible with start times.

How long are the rides? 

Allow 3-4 hours. 

How long is it?

All rides are different, but they are between 20-30km overall.

Will there be a guide?

Yes. You won’t be left to work it out yourself! Centaur Cycles is owned and run by Adam and Kai, a father and son team who love to explore!

Will I be shown how to use the electric mountain bikes?

Yes, functions on the bikes will be explained before we set off.

Will I be insured?

You will need to sign a disclaimer/waver, and have your own holiday insurance. Please remember to to bring ID/Passport.

What to expect: 

Once we receive your deposit and confirmation, we will meet at the ride start point, sign any required documentation, and make sure you have the required apps. Then, we will go through the bike functions and safety. We will do an equipment check and explain the route, and then off we all go!

Other useful information:

Not recommended for travellers with back problems.

You can cancel your booking 48 hours before your ride, for free.

This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund. 

Not suitable for people with heart problems or other serious medical conditions.

Not recommended for pregnant travellers.

Why is it called Centaur Cycles?

The Centaur, a half-man, half-horse creature, is one of the most famous beings in Greek mythology. Its lower body and legs are those of a horse, and its torso and upper body are those of a human. The Centaur represented the realm between humans and nature.
